During Mike Saltzberg's almost 20 years of experience with Fortune 100 science company DuPont, Mike has helped grow some of the company's most famous products, including Corian® surfaces and Ti-PureTM white pigments. In his latest assignment, Dr. Saltzberg is leading the development of a portfolio of novel renewably sourced products that are both high performance and designed to reduce our reliance on petroleum.
Dr. Saltzberg has been the global business director for DuPont Applied BioSciencesTM - BioSpecialties business since 2005. In this role he has championed the development of DuPont's portfolio of renewably sourced materials. These products are designed to reduce the environmental impact of chemicals and materials, decrease the need for petroleum and deliver the high performance demanded by consumers. These products include some of the basic building blocks, products and fuels we use on a daily basis, all made from renewable resources rather than petroleum.
Dr. Saltzberg is a native of Philadelphia, Pa. He holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Oberlin College and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
